Job Title: Makeup Artist / Cosmetic Artist
Job Summary:
To enhance clients' appearance by applying makeup for diverse occasions (weddings, film, photoshoots, events) while ensuring comfort, safety, and satisfaction, adapting techniques to lighting, themes, and individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients to understand their needs, desired looks, skin types, and event themes.
- Apply makeup professionally for weddings, photoshoots, film, TV, and special events, ensuring a polished finish.
- Stay current with beauty trends, techniques, products, and industry best practices.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene standards, sanitizing tools and workspaces regularly.
- Collaborate with photographers, directors, stylists, and other creatives to achieve cohesive looks.
- Provide expert advice on skincare routines and suitable products for clients.
- Manage appointment schedules and client bookings efficiently.
- Assist with makeup removal and provide touch-ups as needed.
- (For Film/FX) Read scripts, apply prosthetics, and adapt looks for different lighting/sets.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Makeup Artist with a strong portfolio.
- Knowledge of color theory, different skin tones, and makeup techniques (e.g., contouring, highlighting).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of sanitation and hygiene protocols.
- (Optional) Certification in Cosmetology or Makeup Artistry.
Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical stamina for long events or shoots.
- Strong professional ethics and client confidentiality.
- (Optional): Specific experience in special effects, prosthetics, or bridal makeup.
