Investor Relations Associate / Senior Associate
Our client is a leading venture capital firm investing across the full company lifecycle—from early-stage startups to late-stage growth companies. The firm partners with exceptional founders globally and maintains long-standing relationships with a sophisticated institutional LP base, including endowments, pension funds, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds.
As the firm continues to scale, they are seeking an Investor Relations professional to join a lean, high-performing team. This role offers broad exposure to fundraising, LP relationship management, co-investments, and portfolio strategy.
Position Overview
The Investor Relations Associate / Senior Associate will play a critical role in supporting and expanding the firm's institutional investor relationships. The individual will work closely with partners, investment professionals, and finance teams to manage LP communications, coordinate fundraising processes, execute co-investment and SPV opportunities, and maintain best-in-class investor operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relationship Management
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for existing and prospective LPs, including endowments, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, foundations, and family offices
- Coordinate investor communications, including portfolio updates, quarterly reports, capital activity materials, and fundraising presentations
- Support ongoing LP engagement initiatives and help strengthen long-term institutional relationships
Fundraising & Business Development
- Assist with fundraising efforts across flagship funds, SPVs, and co-investment vehicles
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective institutional investors globally
- Prepare fundraising materials, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), data room materials, and investor analyses
- Coordinate and manage investor meetings, diligence processes, and follow-ups
Co-Investments & SPVs
- Support execution of co-investment opportunities alongside portfolio companies
- Assist in structuring and coordinating SPVs and special investment vehicles
- Build and maintain financial models and allocation analyses related to co-investments and fund performance
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and investment teams throughout transaction processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with investment professionals to understand portfolio developments and pipeline activity
- Translate investment insights into compelling investor-facing materials
- Work with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and data management
Investor Operations & CRM Management
- Maintain and optimize CRM systems, investor databases, and fundraising pipelines
- Ensure high standards of data integrity, organization, and process management
- Improve internal workflows and investor reporting processes
Qualifications
Required
- 2–5+ years of experience in investor relations, fundraising, capital formation, placement agency, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting
- Prior experience at a leading VC/PE firm, bulge bracket or elite boutique investment bank, placement agent, or top-tier consulting firm (e.g., MBB)
- Strong understanding of institutional investors and private markets fundraising dynamics
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, particularly related to co-investments, SPVs, and fund structures
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and client-service orientation
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university
Preferred
- Direct experience working with institutional LPs such as endowments, pensions, sovereign wealth funds, or foundations
- Familiarity with venture capital fund structures and portfolio reporting
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Affinity, Dynamo, or similar systems
